The Pulpit.

The pulpit is stone, and lined with wood. It has candlesticks and a brass electric reading lamp on the wooden surround. The pulpit has detail of latten bells round the top and a double band of flowers beneath it. The inscription round the font is : "Preach the word be instant in season out of season reprove rebuke exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine" and is taken from 2 Timothy 4 verse 2.

In 1931 Miss Baker presented a foot-mat for the pulpit worked in attractive colouring by her sister, Mrs. Rawlinson, but it is very sad that her benefaction is not normally seen.
